By accessing this website or placing any order through any medium, you are agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions. Umber and Ecru reserve the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Umber & Ecru Chocolate Tasting Experiences: Booking & Cancellation Policy
Our chocolate tasting experiences are intimate, small‑group events with limited availability. Significant preparation goes into each session — including sourcing ingredients, preparing materials, and allocating production time — well before the day itself. For this reason, the following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:
Refund Window
•⁠  ⁠More than 30 days before the event: Full refund offered.
•⁠  ⁠30 to 15 days before the event: Partial refund offered on a sliding scale, based on how close the cancellation is to the event date.
◦ 30–21 days: 75% refund
◦ 20–15 days: 50% refund
•⁠  ⁠14 days or fewer before the event: No automatic refund is available.
Reselling Your Place
Regardless of the timeframe, we will always attempt to resell your place if you can no longer attend.
•⁠  ⁠If we successfully refill your spot, we will offer either:
◦ A full refund, or
◦ A transfer to another scheduled tasting date, subject to availability.
Transfers
Transfers to another date are treated the same as cancellations and follow the same refund windows unless we are able to resell your original place.
Non‑Attendance
No refunds or transfers are offered for non‑attendance on the day.

Online Shop

Although this website is updated regularly, all prices, ingredients, products and availability are subject to change without notice.

Prices displayed in the online shop are inclusive of any applicable VAT and are exclusive of delivery.

After placing an order, a confirmation of your order details will be sent via email to the address you provided. This will include your name, billing and shipping addresses, payment method, email address, telephone number, items ordered, and your unique order number. If any of this data is incorrect, or you do not receive this email within 5 working days, please contact us. This email does not constitute a formal acceptance of your order, or formation of a contract between you and Umber and Ecru. Acceptance of your order and formation of a contract shall only occur upon successful credit or debit card authorisation, completed payment, and dispatch of goods. Umber and Ecru reserves the right to decline your order for any reason, including but not limited to shortages or unavailability of stock, and inability to authorise payment.

Payment for online orders must be made by debit card, credit card or PayPal account. Authority for payment will be requested from your card issuer or PayPal at the time of ordering. We reserve the right to terminate any agreement with you if payment is refused at any stage.

Products

Our products are handmade and contain natural ingredients, therefore actual products may vary (including packaging) from images.

All our products are made in an environment where known allergens are used (including but not limited to peanuts, nuts, flour, milk, eggs and soya).

Weights, sizes and dimensions given are approximate and may vary slightly.

Any shelf life given in product descriptions on the Umber and Ecru website is for indication purposes only and is not a guarantee. Our products contain fresh ingredients which will affect the best before date of each batch. If you require a product to last a certain amount of time and/or beyond a specific date, please contact us before purchasing.
